Why it’s useful & how it works
GeoCities.ws pairs its archive of saved GeoCities pages with free retro-style hosting, so you may encounter both old preserved pages and newly created ones in the same neighborhood-style directory. It is useful as a second source when a page you are looking for does not appear in other GeoCities mirrors, since each rescue project captured a different slice. Echo links you to the site and you search or browse there, though the service is currently degraded and may ask you to complete a CAPTCHA before proceeding.

The site claims over 40 million archived pages, which would make it one of the largest GeoCities mirrors in existence, comparable to the scale of the original service before its 2009 closure. The precise figure cannot be independently verified, but coverage is broadly described as very extensive.
