VK Video is the video arm of VKontakte, Russia's largest social network, and a significant repository of Russian-language and ex-Soviet content, including reuploads of material removed elsewhere. Most of the catalog is behind a login wall: on-site search requires a VK account, and the official API requires a registered application and an access token. Because of these barriers, Echo links you to the platform and you search there once you are signed in.
