WikiTeam dumps
Preserved dumps of more than 600,000 wikis, including Fandom/Wikia communities and niche MediaWiki sites, stored on the Internet Archive. The collection is searchable via the Archive's keyless search API, which our site uses directly. The place to look when a wiki has vanished and you need its content back.
Why it’s useful & how it works
WikiTeam dumps are the archive of last resort when a wiki has gone offline: the project systematically downloads full XML exports of wikis and uploads them to the Internet Archive before they disappear, preserving article text, revision histories, and metadata. This is especially valuable for Fandom and Wikia communities, which have faced shutdowns and consolidations. You search the WikiTeam collection through the Internet Archive's search, which Echo queries directly using its keyless API to surface relevant preserved wikis.
What’s inside
As of 2026, WikiTeam has preserved more than 600,000 wikis, including thousands of Fandom and Wikia communities, niche MediaWiki sites, and several wikifarms. Dumps are stored on the Internet Archive alongside regular Wikimedia Foundation exports.
