demoscene
pouet.net (demoscene)
The canonical database of the demoscene, documenting productions, parties and groups since the 1990s. Its data is published as periodic JSON dumps (data.pouet.net) that our search can draw on, alongside the site's own browsing and search. The reference source when researching demoscene releases or group histories.
Why it’s useful & how it works
Pouet.net is the central community database of the demoscene, the subculture of programmers and artists who create real-time audiovisual productions for competitions. It documents productions, the groups that made them, and the demoparties where they were shown, covering releases from the early 1990s to the present across platforms from the Amiga and C64 to modern PCs. The site's data is published as periodic JSON dumps at data.pouet.net, which allows structured access to the full catalogue. Reach for it when researching a specific demo, tracking a group's history, or exploring the output of a particular demoparty.
What’s inside
Tens of thousands of documented productions spanning more than three decades of demoscene history, alongside records of hundreds of demoparties and scener groups worldwide.
