web-archive
Kiwix / Zimit
An offline-archive ecosystem rather than a lookup service: Kiwix packages whole websites — Wikipedia, StackExchange, and thousands more — into downloadable ZIM files, and Zimit can convert other sites into the same format. You browse the package library and download complete site copies for offline reading; there is no per-URL snapshot search. Useful when you want a full working copy of a site rather than a dated capture of a single page.
No programmatic check — opens the archive’s own search.
Why it’s useful & how it works
NEW. Reachable both ways. Different paradigm (offline ZIM of whole sites) — not per-URL lookup. Useful as a 'whole-site offline copy exists' pointer; link-only.
What’s inside
Thousands of ZIM packages (Wikipedia, StackExchange, etc.).
API access
ZIM library listing; OPDS catalog. Different model (offline packages, not URL replay).
Access
Freely reachable — no key, login, or captcha.
