web-archive
End of Term Web Archive
A joint project of the Internet Archive, Library of Congress, and university partners that crawls US federal government websites at every presidential transition. It preserves .gov and .mil content that routinely disappears when administrations change — pages, reports, and datasets deleted from live sites. Browse the project portal to reach the term crawls, which replay through partner wayback instances. Reach for it when a government page vanished around an election.
No programmatic check — opens the archive’s own search.
Why it’s useful & how it works
Added by the 2026-06 gap-scan. Portal verified 200. Joint IA/LoC/UNT/Stanford project; the place to find .gov content deleted after administration changes. Replay is served through partner wayback instances — no single search endpoint, hence catalogue-only.
What’s inside
Hundreds of TB across the 2008–2024 term crawls.
