Why it’s useful & how it works
HAW is the Croatian national web archive, maintained by the National and University Library in Zagreb. It preserves .hr websites through annual full-domain crawls as well as curated thematic collections covering areas such as Croatian cultural heritage, elections, and significant news events. You search by entering a URL and then choosing a capture date from a calendar view on the HAW website. The service has had intermittent availability, so Echo marks it as uncertain and links you directly, letting you verify whether it is currently reachable.
What’s inside
Annual crawls of the .hr domain since 2004, supplemented by curated thematic collections. The library has not published aggregate page or gigabyte totals; coverage grows with each yearly domain harvest.
