Searching and browsing happen on the site itself; a legacy query API exists but failed our checks. It is the place to look for reusable, openly licensed music stems and remixes. Status is currently uncertain: the site was unreachable in repeated probes and may be down, so check back if it doesn't load.

ccMixter is a community remix platform where musicians share a cappellas, stems, and complete tracks under Creative Commons licenses, making it a useful stop when you need a reusable music building block rather than a finished song. You search and browse on the site itself; Echo links you there and opens the relevant section. Note that the site has had intermittent availability issues, so if it does not load try again later.
