KB Netherlands Web Archive

The Royal Library of the Netherlands' web archive ('Websites van Nederland'), preserving about 25,000 curated Dutch sites, several thousand of which have already disappeared from the live web. There is no public search API, and deeper access to archived content is largely limited to the library's reading rooms. Best used as a pointer that a vanished Dutch site may be preserved, with full consultation done on site.

Por que é útil e como funciona

The KB web archive is the authoritative repository for Dutch web history, preserving roughly 25,000 curated websites selected for their relevance to Dutch history, language, culture, and government. Because it focuses on cultural and historical significance rather than completeness, it often holds copies of sites that have long vanished from the live web. Deeper access to actual archived content is primarily available in the library's reading rooms in The Hague; the public web presence serves as a catalogue and point of contact. Echo links you to the KB's archive information page.
