David Rumsey Maps
One of the premier digitized historical map collections, offering high-resolution scans, many of them georeferenced, on the Luna platform. Partial Luna and IIIF APIs exist, but the practical route is the site's own search interface, which we link to. A first stop when you need a high-quality scan of an old map.

Por que é útil e como funciona
The David Rumsey collection is the premier online destination for high-quality historical map scans, with a particular strength in 18th and 19th century North American, South American, and world atlases. A notable feature is georeferencing: many maps have been aligned to modern coordinates so you can overlay them on a contemporary basemap and compare how geography has changed. You search by keyword, place, date, or publisher on the site's own interface, which Echo links you to.
